Your Responsibilities will include

  • Perform timely parts removal and replacement procedures on all systems, including brakes, suspension, steering, air conditioning (dash-outs included), cooling systems, drivetrain, tires, body and doors, and limited engine and transmission (timing belts, solenoids, valve bodies,) on light and medium duty gasoline, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles
  • Perform timely, accurate vehicle inspections, including Department of Transportation Certifications
  • Perform preventive maintenance procedures including oil and filter changes, throttle body service, fluid exchanges and flushes, drive belt replacement on all make and model light and medium duty vehicles
  • Perform basic diagnosis following AML’s processes and checklists
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized service bay
  • Spend personal time as required to become familiar with unfamiliar techniques
  • Participate in training provided by the company from time to time
  • Assist apprentice technicians as necessary
  • Perform all duties to a high standard of workmanship, following processes laid out by AML Auto Service

Special consideration will be given to applicants with the following experience:

  • Perform advanced diagnostics, including scoping sensors, engine condition, noise and vibration, electrical, transmission faults, and air conditioning systems
  • Perform calibrations, coding, and programming of electronic control modules for all systems on all light and medium duty vehicles.
  • Achieve and maintain ASE Master Technician, Advanced Engine Performance and Electric vehicle certification.

  • Shuttle vehicles in the parking lot to ensure there are close parking spots for customers dropping off and picking up their vehicles
  • Shuttle customers

  • Able to lift to 50 pounds
  • Receive and sign for parts, get returns and return forms ready, and ensure that returns are picked up

Your Responsibilities will include

 

  • Perform all duties required of the diagnostic Technician
  • Responsible for the repair and maintenance of customer vehicles and for ensuring work is done expeditiously and correctly.  Execute the highest level automotive diagnostics and repairs.
  • Ensure that assigned work is progressing at an appropriate pace.  Visit with team members after lunch to regroup on afternoon focus and goals
  • Review scheduling/assignment concerns with Service Manager / Owner 
  • Assist Technicians with difficult diagnostics and repairs, as needed
  • Review inspections for accuracy and completeness
  • Professionally and effectively supervise team members
  • Suggest new and updated AML processes as the need arises
  • Quality control – looking over repairs to see that they are 100%
  • Maintenance and cleanliness of the shop
  • Lead By Example
  • Stay current on new vehicle technologies and diagnostic methods
  • Back up Service Manager as needed
  • Identify training opportunities for technicians – areas for growth
  • Develop the other technicians in diagnostic and repair skills
  • Maintain high quality control standards in personal workmanship as well as the shop
  • Passion for being the best and promoting the AML brand
  • Mentor new employees per on-boarding process
  • Report to Owner weekly (scheduled meeting with Service Manager & Owner) regarding the previous week’s highlights and opportunities to improve.
  • Lead morning meetings with Service Manager – review goals for team
  • Lead monthly operations meeting with team

  • Remove and install wheels from light to medium duty vehicles as per AML’s procedures and processes
  • Dismount and mount tires in a timely manner, ensuring the beads and seats are properly prepared to avoid leaks
  • Balance tires and wheels using AML’s equipment and procedures
  • Perform oil changes
  • Check and top up all fluid levels and perform fluid exchanges
  • Replace bulbs, wiper blades, air filters, and cabin filters
  • Perform light body maintenance: headlight lens restoration, windshield Aquapel.
